Knicks Club Home
How we treat each other

Code of conduct.

The longer version of "no mean weirdos." Read it once. Act on it always.

The basics

Knicks Club is a fan club, not a fight club. The room is small, which means one bad actor can ruin a meetup for everyone. We do not let that happen.

What we expect

Be welcoming to new members. Make space at the table — physically and conversationally. Assume good faith. Listen more than you talk for your first few meetups. Tip the bartender well. Respect the host.

What we will not tolerate

Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, ethnic slurs of any kind. Sexual harassment. Aggressive behavior toward bar staff or other patrons. Stealing the host’s remote.

Gatekeeping a new member because they did not see Bernard King in person. Acting like the club exists for you to be the loudest person in the room. Recording other members without consent.

What to do if something happens

Tell the host or the founder. Email hello@knicksclub.com. We take complaints seriously and we move quickly. We will not name the reporter without their permission.

Consequences

Depending on the situation: a private conversation, a temporary pause, or removal from the club. Removal means your application status changes and you are no longer invited to meetups. We do not relish doing this. We will do it.
